UNLUCKY AT WANGANUI.
Thrasher was unlucky at Wanganui in the Putiki Hack Handicap, one mile and 110 yards. He lost ground at the start and hie chances looked remote, but he ran up to third position before half a mile had been covered. He tired over the concluding stages, but with an even breakaway he would have been hard to beat. Thrasher should go well in the Taumanuka Handicap at Otaki to-morrow.
