DEVONPOBT VICTORIOUS.
PRIMARY SCHOOL CHAMPIONS. After extra time "Jiad been played in ar strenuous game yesterday afternoon at Blandford Park, Devonport won the primary school senior championship from Kowhai Junior High by two goals to one. The first spell was characterised by even exchanges in which there were some cleverly combined movements. Early in the second spell Devonport - opened their account, Archer scoring after a clever solo effort. Kowhai, however, replied strongly, and after a short time a beautifully placed corner was neatly headed through by White. The game thereafter became extremely spirited and willing and ranged from. end to eud with all the thrill of a senior cup tie, but full time arrived ere there had been any further scoring, necessitating extra time being played. After several raids Devonport registered their second point following clever combination between Archer and Blackie, the latter scoring with a great shot. In -spite of desperate efforts to again draw level, Kowhai failed mainly owing to weak finishing. The final whistle found Devonport the 1932 champion of the senior division. Mr. G. C. Ballantyne officiated as referee.
