MOTOR CYCLIST INJURED.
A collision between a motor cycle, ridden by Mr. Eric Roberts, aged 26, and a motor car occurred on the Great South Road last night about 11.40. The vehicles met at the Harp of Erin corner. Mr. Eoberts, who was proceeding to work at Penrose on night shift, -being flung against the car violently. He received concussion, a fracture of the jaw and a severe cut on the head. He was taken by the St. John Ambulance to the Auckland Hospital, and his condition, which was considered serious on admission, was stated by the authorities today to be considerably improved. Mr. Roberts resides at 13, Hill Street, Newmarket.
