DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIP. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIX, Thusrday. The second round of the New Zealand amateur billiards championship was completed to-day, when 11. McLean (Christchurch) defeated P. M. Keppell (Milton), by 666 to 420, and C. Jlason (Dunedin) beat A. Lindsay (Dunedin) by 666 to 575. In the former game, which was not a high-class one, McLean was the cleaner player and gradually drew ahead to win by a comfortable margin.. Mason, whs played a brilliant game on Tuesday, was not in form to-night, and although lie won with a good deal to spare, was never sure of his position. Lindsay put up a great fight. Mason's best breaks were 54, 47. 44 and 42, and Lindsay's 62 and 30. * KING COUNTRY TITLE. TAUMARUXUI, Thursday. In the semi-final of the King Country amateur billiards championship C, A. .Stevenson beat M. R. McLay in an exciting game by 500 to 479. The final between Baker and Stevenson will be played on Monday evening.
