SCHOOL STEEPLECHASE.
EVENT AT MOUNT ALBERT. NEW INTERMEDIATE RECORD. There were 350 starters for the Mount Albert Grammar School steeplechase, which was held In ideal weather yesterday afternoon. The boys started at tho school, ran round the mountain, and finished at the school, a distance of three miles. T. Ker won the senior championship 1n 10.0 2-5. A record was established In the intermediate class, which was won by J. Hnre, who made the run In 16.10. The previous record of 16.35 was put up by T. Ker last year. The winner In the junior division was H. G. Wrighton, whose time was 18.40. Results :— Senior Championship.—T. Ker, 16.9 2-5, 1 ; J. Harp, 10.16. 2 ; B. W. Brock, 16.41, 3. Intermediate Championship, under Iβ.— J. Hare. 16.1(1, 1: A. h, I,ydinrd, 17.43, 2 ; W. A. Frericks, 17.81, 3. .Tunior Championship, under 14$. —H. G. Wrifihton, 15.40, 1; H. V. Orchiston, 19.2, 2; 8. M. White. 19.10, 3. The handicap events resulted as follow :— Senior.—V. R. Knight, 1 ; B. W. Brock, 2 ; I. F. Sampson, 3. Intermediate. —A. U Lydiard, 1; W. A.
