DEPARTURE OF CONDUCTOR. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WANGANUI, Wednesday, , The conductor of the Wnnganui Garrison Band, Mr. James Watson, sailed for Sydney yesterday. His departure was a surprise to supporters of tiie band. Mr. Watson had been conductor on two occasions, and in the latter period for two years. Mr. Tom Gray, a well-known bandsman, has been appointed to carry on in the meantime.
