D. Hart, of Auckland, who is at present staying in Tunbridge Wells, --Kent, was to leave for New Zealand on September 16. * * » . Dr. Hilda Northcroft and Mrs. Victor Macky are amongst the passengers who sailed from London by the Ormonde, due shortly at Sydney. Signor and Signora Costantini, of Auckland, have arrived in Italy on a six months' holiday. Tney intend visiting France also, states our correspondent. » » » * Miss M. Ramage and Miss L. Snodgrass, of Tauranga, and Mrs. A. A. Macfarlane, of'Huntly, are staying at the Central Hotel. * * # » • Amongst those staying at the Star Hotel are Mrs. F. R. H. Brice. Marton; Mrs. C. Matthews, Hamilton: Mrs. C. C. Jackson, Wairarapa; and Miss C. E. Connor, Wellington. * • • • Mr. David Nathan, of Auckland, arrived in London in August in order to be present at his daughter's wedding. Miss Jacqueline Nathan is to marrv Mr. Arthur Sebag-Montefiore at the " New West End Synagogue on September 28. At present Mr. and Mrs. David Nathan are staying at Amersfoort, Berkhamsted, but will bo in town for September. * * * • Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Rendall, of Auckland, who have been staying for some time in Bristol, are on a six months' pleasure tour, during which they will see not only the Old Country, but also the Continent, before they return via Suez. They went via Honolulu, where they spent six days, and travelled thence to San Francisco. Los Angeles nnd Hollywood. They then went on to Vancouver, Banff, Lake Louise, Toronto, Niagara, Chicago, Washington, New York and Montreal.

Mrs. W. P. Salmon, William Street, Takapuna, gave a very enjoyable afternoon last week to welcome Mrs. P. S. Gee, who has returned to Milford after two years abroad, and Mrs. Sherley. who intends to make her home at Milford. A dainty afternoon tea was served, and the rooms were artistically arranged with spring flowers. Amongst those present were: Mesdames Gee, Sherley, Blomfield, Allan Brown. J. Worsley, Randall, L. Bull, Allen, Myall, Clouston,' Scales and Miss Claire Gee; also Mrs. Eade, of Rotorua.
