AUCKLAND BOXERS.
THE AMATEUR TEAM.
FOR N.Z. TITLE HONOURS
On Monday morning a team of seven Auckland boxers will leave the city bound for New Plymouth, where they will take part in the tournament for the New Zealand amateur championships. Auckland will be represented in all classes but the heivy-weight. The Auckland team is:— P. McCarthney (light-heavy), T. Shorter (middle), R. B. Martin (welter), W. Purdie (light), C. Crou] (bantam), U. Manson (feather), and F. Bruno (flyweight). Mr. W. Dervan will accompany the team as manager, while Mr. Henry Donovan will b* the trainer. Messrs. G. Bush, N. McLean and other .members of the Northern Boxing Association, will travel with the party..
