COLLISION IN QUEEN STREET.
PEDESTRIAN AND CYCLIST. ONE IN SERIOUS CONDITION. When Mr. William Diamond, aged GO, and liis son, of 0, Collins Street, Morn-ing-side, were crossing Queen Street from the kerb outside St. James' Theatre at 8 o'clock last night, the father was knocked over by a motor cyclist, Mr. Paul Joseph Druinm, aged 22, who was proceeding up Queen Street. Mr. Diamond and Mr. Druunn, who was thrown from his machine, both received head injuries, and were taken by the St. John Ambulance to the Auckland Hospital. The condition of Mr. Diamond was stated by the authorities to-day to have improved, while that of Mr. Drumm, who resides at 382, Queen Street, Onehunga, was serious.
