A USEFUL HOBBY.

(By June Brewin.)

I do not know of a more interesting hobby than the planning, selecting and making of inexpensive but pleasing gifts. For this purpose I have a collection of boxes, wools, ribbons, silks, laces, beads, tiny dolls and cardboard, etc. Now, I know of a sick little girl who wants three tiny baby dolls and a little bed with pink trimmings, and I also know of a little chap who will soon be starting school, and he wants a journal cover—one like his big brothers, covered with coloured paper, and it must have ships on it. Yes! And I know an old lady whose toes are peeping tlu'ougli her woolly slippers.

Now, as I have the material' to make these three people happy, my leisure hours will be fully occupied.
