NAVY BANNER REPLAY. NEW TROPHY FOR JUNIOR REPS. SOUTH AUCKLAND GAME OFF. The Control Board of . the Auckland Football Association last night decided to arrange for the replay for the Navy Squadron championship next Saturday between the Dunedin and the Diomede. As the teams drew in tlieir last engagement the championship for the season remains undecided, and Saturday will be the last opportunity this season to endeavour to reach finality. It was also decided to fix the replay between the Auckland and Navy rep. teams for Saturday week, which necessitated the cancellation of the proposed game with South Auckland. Curtain raisers were arranged for both Saturdays, the Abels v. Comrades second grade championship replay being scheduled for Saturday week. A number of rules pertaining to the Frank Campbell Rose Bowl competition were drawn up, and it was decided to refer these to the Wellington Association for consideration.

Mr. E. G. Flyger, an enthusiastic supporter of junior Soccer, notified his intention of donating a trophy for annual competition between junior teams under the age of 21, representing the Wellington and Auckland Associations, on the lines of the Frank Campbell Rose Bowl. Mr. Flyger's offer was gratefully received, and the opinion was expressed that it would afford a great fillip to junior Soccer. The proposal promoted a discussion on the question of post-collegVate players, many of whom seem to disappear from the code when nearing the higher grades. Messrs. A. P. Neesham and F. R. Ritchie were appointed to co-operate with the minor division committee in an inquiry into the whole position.
