COMMISSION OF INQUIRY URGED. WELLINGTON, Thursday. Agreeing that a reduction in the number of local bodies in New Zealand was one of the most pressing necessities of the country, the executive of the Associated Chambers of Commerce decided to-day to ask the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, and the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. A. Hamilton, to receive a deputation urging the immediate appointment of a com\miesion to inquire into the whole system of local body administration.
