QUEST FOR OIL.
EXPERTS FROM OVERSEAS.
PROSPECTING PARTY ARRIVES EAST COAST SURVEY. A party of geologists arrived by the Mariposa to make a survey of oil prospecting areas in the East Coast district. Tlie survey is the result of an arrangement between Taranaki (N.Z.) Oilfields and the Vacuum Oil Company Proprietary, Limited. The survey party is headed by Br. E. Jabloneki, a petroleum geologist of long experience in the oilfields of Poland, Russia, Persia and the United States. He is accompanied by two other geologists, Messrs. C. St. J. Breniner and M. Steinecke. Mr. Osborne, a fourth member of the party, arrives by the? Zealandia to-night. Dr. Jablonski and his party were met by Mr. Gamble, director of the ' Vacuum Oil Company, and Messrs. Sevier and Perry, general manager and Auckland manager for the company. The geological party will be joined by Mr. C. N. Taylor, representing Taranaki (N.Z.) Oilfields' interests, and they will probably be leaving for GittLorne in a day or two.
