CAR GOES OVER BANK.

ACCIDENT NEAR POKENO. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) POKENO, this day. Through skidding in loose metal on the Great South Road between Mercer and Pokeno late hist evening, a car which was proceeding towards Auckland went over a steep bank. One of the several passengers in the car, Mrs. E. C. Odium, of Brighton Road-, Parnell, received two broken ribs, also cuts from flying glaes. The other passengers escaped with minor cuts and abrasions.
