"FATTY" ARBUCKLE.
FILM "COME-BACK" PLANNED,
HOLLYWOOD, July 29.
"Fatty" Arbuckle, banned from the films for the paet 10 years following on the scandal of the death of the actress Virginia Rappe, plans to make a "comeback." It is reported that he will be starred in a series of 12 short comedies.
Since he was forced off the screen the fat comedian has made a considerable succees of the restaurant business, and owns a number of road houses around Hollywood. It was late in 1921 that Virginia Rappe, a film actress, died in sensational circumstances in a San Francisco hotel. Arbuckle was accused of manslaughter and was acquitted, but eo loud was the outcry of the moralists as a result of the scandal that was disclosed that he was ostracised from the "movie" business.
