EDWARDS FOUND GUILTY.
VERDICT OF SECOND JURY.
SENTENCE DEFERRED,
After a retirement of one and threequarter hours the jury at the second trial of James Henry Edwards, charged with taking part in a riot in Queen Street on April 14, yesterday afternoon found him guilty. Sentence was deferred till the end of the criminal sessions. In summing up, Mr. Justice Herdman eaid that if juries did not give due consideration to evidence of the kind tendered against Edwards then trial by juries would by and' by become a mere empty form, and the administration of juetice a farce.
