AUCKLAND CHAMPIONSHIP.
The Auckland open billiards chaufpiunship was advanced another, stage last evening, many spectators being present. The standard of play, however, was not up to championship form. H. V. Long gained a substantial lead over his opponent, D. Porter, the respective breaks of the competitors being:—24, 23, 37, 30 and 2C, 27, 33, 35. , This evening G. Adams and G. Bashuro will meet, nnd on Thursday evening H. A.. Massey is drawn to play J. E. Lester.
