CRICKET.
AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION.
At last night's monthly meeting of the Auckland Cricket Association, the Hawke s Bay Association wrote requesting a match at Napier against the Auckland representative team when it is returning from the southern tour next season. The matter was deferred for the consideration of the incoming committee. Definite arrangements with regard to the primary schools' coaching scheme for next season together with the retainer to be paid T. Lyon, were deferred until next meeting. A request from the Auckland Lawn Tennis Association for co-operation in preventing unfinancial players in one sport from participating in another met with approval, and it was decided to offer support in the matter. It was resolved to hold the annual meeting on September 22. A sub-committee was set up to consider altering the representative blazer, and it was decided to donate a cap only to players taking part in their first representative match, and to present, a blazer to a player after he had been chosen to play for Auckland on three occasions.
