ORURU-FAIRBURN COMPANY.
An increased production of slightly ovar 20 tone of butter is shown in the annual report of the Oruru-Fairburn Co-operative Dairy Factory Company, Limited, North Auckland. The total output for the year was 355 tone. The butter sent forward on consignment, totalling 224 tons, realised an average of 10.4 d a lb f.0.b., including premium on exchange; 94 tons were sold f.o.b. Auckland at ll£d a lb net for finest and ll£d a lb net for first grade; 18 tons were eold locally at an average price of 1/1 a lb, and 20 tons remained in store at the date of balance and had been valued at 9Jd f.o.b. The sum of £908 was paid for finest grade cream, ae against £867 last year. The surplus on the season's working would enaible a further payment of Id a lb on all butterfat supplied for the season. A dividend of 5 per cent was recommended to shareholders. The sales of butter over the whole season amounted to £35,793. The average return, including cream carted, was 11.507 d a lb butterfat. The suppliers of the factory total 218.
