BOWLING.
MATAMATA CLUB. The annual general mooting of the Matamat.a Bowling Club was hold on Wednesday. The report stutod that the membership was 55. During tho year 13 debentures ot a value of £25 each were issued, and tlie bank overdraft, amounting to £373. paid off. The Rotorua Club had presented a cup to be played for each week on any other day but a Saturday, the competing clubs to be Kolnrua, Okoroire, llinuera, Tirau. Te Poi. Mntamata and Putaruru. The Matamata Club was successful in the first round, and held the cup for eleven contests, only to lose It to Te Poi in the last round. Officers elected Patrons. Messrs. A. and E Bowler : president, Mr. \V. Egan ; vicepresident. Mr. W. JI. Crabb : secretary. Mr. Ft Banks; treasurer, Mr. J. W. Simpson; green superintendent. Mr. O. Stewart; general committee. Messrs. Barnes, were and Gordon, and the officers ; selection committee Messrs. Stewart, Were and Simpson ; delegates to South Auckland Association, Messrs. Bgau and Stewart; auditor, Mr. \\. L. Barkman.
