AUCKLAND KENNEL CLUB.
SUCCESSFUL SHOW YEAR.
The annual meeting o£ the Auckland Kennel Club was held last evening, lhc president, Mr. Norman Wade, presided. It was reported that a pleasing feature of the year had been the increased number of doge benched at the shows. At the annual show in February the greatest number of entries in the past five years had been received, and for the mid-year show, opening to-morrow, 41 more entries had been received' than in the previous Appreciation of the services rendered the club by Mr. H. Carbury. Hon. veterinary surgeon, and Mr. W. J. Dunn, show manager, was recorded, and a special vote of thanks was passed to Mr. George Hunt, the secretary. Mr. Norman Wade wae re-elected president, and made a life member of the club in appreciation of ..hie untiring efforts in placing it in an unassailable position. Office bearers for the ensuing year were elected as follows:—Patron, Mr. G. I\. Hutchinson; president. Mr. Norman Wade; vice-president, Mr. C. Herdson; committee, Mrs. K. L. Dcsgranges, Messrs. W J Dunn, G. R. Newell, F. BuyllS, R. Bavlis, (<eo. Herbert, H. <iarbury, W. Miller, I. 0. Durbridge, H. Gordon Bar--1 rington.
