The airmen are overdue since early this morning. A 'plane was sighted high over the Polish-Lithuanian frontier at 11.40 last night. It is feared that if it wore that of the American airmen they might have been since driven out of their course by heavy storms and torrential rains. GERMAN FLYERS. Bertram Making Speedy Recovery. KLAUSMANN'S CONDITION. WYNDHAM, July 7. The rescued German airman, Hans Bertram, has almost completely recovered. He is now capable of dealing with a pile of cablegrams and telegrams from relatives and friends in Germany and Australia congratulating him on hie good fortune and wishing him and his companion, Adolf Klausmann, a speedy recovery. Bertram treated the reply to his fiancee in Germany as the most urgent. Klausmann is showing a slight improvement. The local medical man, Dr. Webster, thinks Klausmann will be fairly well in a fortnight, but very great care is being taken to ensure his complete recovery.
