Mr. G. P. Pmchas, of Auckland, is »t present visiting England on business. Ho spent five weeks touring Africa, and will visit the Continent later. Mr. J. It. Butland, of Auckland, Government representative of the New Zealand Honey Board, has arrived in England . He will be there some months. Mr. W. F. Bennett, superintendent in New Zealand for Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, is in Auckland «t the Grand Hotel. Mr. H. D. Vickery, chairman of the Xcw Zealand Broadcasting Board, and Mr. E. C. Hands, genera) manager, are on a visit to Auckland inspecting the radio station. Mr. JO. T. Tirikatene, of Ratana Pa, will contest the Southern Maori seat as an Independent at the coming by-elec-tion. In the last election he polled 315 votes, 20 fewer than the successful candidate. Mr. A. I. Johns, general manager of the New Zealand Insurance Company. Limited, and Mr. P. H. Upton, general manager of the South British Insurance Company, Limited, returned to Auckland this morning by the Limited express. Mr. A. M. Seaman, president of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, who is at present in Wellington, is expected back in Auckland on Sunday.
