BUS CRASHES INTO POLE.

DRIVER CUT ABOUT FOREHEAD. Extensive damage was caused to a passenger bus owned by Messrs. Loughlin and Mclvor when it crashed into a power pole at the corner of East Street and Manukau Road, Pukekohc, early yesterday morning. The bus was one of a fleet engaged on the Tuakau-Auckland service, but on Wednesday night conveyed a party to a country dance, and it was while the driver, Mr. S. Loughrin, was driving it to the garage that the accident occurred. The power pole was wrecked, the front portion of the hue badly damaged, and the driver sustained cute about the forehead which, necessitated the insertion of eeveral stitches. There were, no passengers in Hhe bns.
