Members of the Melbourne plainclothes squad detailed to watch the activities of Communists recently prevented several Communists from addressing employees of Barnct Glass Rubber Co., Ltd., Saltwater River, Footscray, in front of the factory during the lunch hour.

For fiome time Communists have been holding lunch-hour meetings at the gates of several large industrial establishments. Complaints have been made to <he police that the Communists are seeking to cause discontent among the workers.

Plainclothes police have been attending all the meetings and keeping the Communists in check.
