Overwhelming Rout of Squires Party in Newfoundland.
ONLY TWO SEATS HELD
(Kcceived 9.30 a.m.) ST. JOHNS, June 15. The election returns to date show the position of parties as follows:— Opposition 2£ Government 2 Independent 1 One return to come. It was the most pronounced expression of opinion ever recorded in Newfoundland election, political observers state. The Opposition polled more than 70 per cent of the entire vote. Twelve Government and two Independent candidates lost their deposits.
