PAKURANGA HUNT.
MEET AT HOMAI. The Pakuranga Hunt met at Homai yesterday and an enjoyable day's sport resulted. There were between 40 and 50 riders, and, though several spills occurred, no one was Injured. Hounds were cast off in Mr. Clutha Mackenzie's property, where a hare was soon put up, but was killed almost immediately. The second was started on Mr. J. Dreadon's land, and a smart run ensued across Brown's Road, over Mr. H. Master's property and then over some rough land, the riders being compelled to follow on foot. After crossing the railway line in the direction of Wiri the hare was eventually caught in a swamp. Returning to Mr. Dreadon's place the hunt worked through Mr. V. Roger's land and on to Mr. K.
