TE AWAMUTU TRACK.

EMANCIPATION SCHOOLED. TWO YEARLINGS NAMED. Theer was no fast work at the Te Awamutu tracks yesterday morning as most trainers here have no immediate engagements.for their charges. However, much useful pace work was indulged in, for which the plough and grass track were available. The yearlings were granted the use of the hurdle grass track. On the Plough. Lucidus, who has not been asked to do anything of a strenuous nature for some time, was allotted twice round on the plough. This gelding when first brought hack into work was a little on the burly side, but has fined down considerably since then. He looks in the best of condition. Another of A. Cook's charges that is working well is Sea Ruler, who is being confined to pace work for a. while. This gelding has grown into a nice size and continues to work along satisfactorily. Loombination and Erination, both of whom are in the care of R. Savage, have not been asked to do anything but jogging erercise. These geldings have built up considerably since having been eased up, and should be in fine fettle when next aiiked to race. G. Paul has been absent from the tracks for some days now and has evidently given his team, consisting of Shamgar, Marechal, the Musketoon — Slbford gelding, Kanapa and Trishna a short let up.

The two yearlings in A. Cook's charge have been named. Dinelli has been claimed for the Diacquenod—Finelli filly, and Trickling Waters for the Gay Shield— Boynette filly. Both these yearlings hit out nicely in their work.

A.. Rowan has disposed of his Chief Ruler—Miss Sphinks filly to the Misses W. and N. Corbett, for a substantial figure. This filly, who is of the robust type, moves alonjj nicely in her work and. should develop into a useful performer. In future'ishewill'be under J, WvCathro.

Others doing useful tasks on the plough were Bambury, Chateau, Te Homai, vrho has almost completely recovered from the effects of his fall a week or so ago, and Protomint.

Emancipation, who ran rather disappointingly at Ellerslie, has joined the ranks of jumpers. On Tuesday he received his first schooling oyer the small sticks, and he inay in time develop intoa useful hurdler.
