BLEAK OUTLOOK.
Influence of Irish Dispute On Ottawa Parley. WILL DELEGATION ATTEND. (British Official Wireless.) (Received 12 noon.) RUGBY, June 13. The Dublin correspondent of "The Times" says Mr. de Valera's attitude toward Britain has rendered the prospects for the Ottawa Conference bleak. It would not be surprising if the Irish Free State Government cancelled its delegation, especially if it withholds payment of land annuities to Britain. In the House of Commons, Mr. J. H. Thomas was asked whether, as a result of the recent conversations with members of the Irish Free State Government, it was now proposed to conduct further negotiations In preparation for Ottawa. He said that he had nothing to add to the official communique issued last Friday except that he understood it was likely that a further communication would be received from the President of the Executive Council of the Irish Free State after he had had an opportunity of discussion with his colleagues.
