EQUIPMENT OF RELIEF CAMPS.
Recoilt reports in the papers have dealt with conditions at the gaol and in the relict camps. The inmates of the gaol, we are informed, are provided with live blankets apiece. Tn the relief camps warm blankets are said to be woefully scarce (and a tent is a much colder bedroom than a prison cell). Far be it from me to curtail any of our prisoners' little luxuries, but is not some adjustment needed here? 1 do not know how' many prisoners arc accommodated in our gaol, but if each prisoner gave up even one of n' 3 superfluous coverings, the sum total of'_ the blankets thus made available would materially add to the comfort of our men in camp.
