"RICH AND STRANGE."

NEW ENGLISH COMEDY AT REGENT Good, clean English humour means a great dejjl to many screen-goers and plenty of this is to be found in the latest British film screening at the Regent to-morrow—"Rich and Strange." This picture stars Joan Barry, the beautiful heroine of "The Outsider." Henry Kendall, who made famous his role in "The Flying Fool," has the male lead. Additional stars in the cast are Betty Amaiin (in the lead of "The Perfect Lady") and Elsie Randolph, a wellknown English musical comedy star who is now making her first big "talkie" appearance. The story of the film concerns the world tour of a newly-rich young couple, and the picture includes many scenes filmed in other parts of the Empire. Elizabeth Allan, who had excellent roles in "Glamour" and "Stamboul," is in the cast, together with Margaret Beryl Chang, three weeks old, and the youngest actress on the screen. The film was directed by Alfred Hitchcock, maker of many British box-office "hits." Joan Barry is amply compensated for one scene in which 6he is wrecked by being able to wear several beautiful specially-designed dresses.
