SYDNEY WOOL SALES. At the Sydney wool sales to-day 5317 bales were ollered and 4089 were sold. Also 3089 bales were sold privately. Competition was fairly general, and the market was firm at closing rates of last week. Greasy Merino sold to 12d. TALLOW, HEMP, FRUIT. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated June 11, from the High. Commissioner for New Zealand, London: — Tallow. —No auction until next week. Cleopatra, Lord Wolscley, Statesman, Dougherty, Rymer, 9/ to 11/; others, 8/ to 10/. Pears: S.s. Port Wellington consignment very wasty and many unsaleable. Current prices for sound fruit:—Winter Nelis, 12/6 to 15/; Winter Cole, 13/; wasty fruit, 4/ to 10/. Otago fruit generally in good condition. S.s. Tamaroa, Cox's Orange, 14/ to 22/; others as quoted above. Pears: Winter Nelis, 4/6 to 5/6 per tray; 7/ to 8/ per half case. APPLES IN LONDON. (Received 11 a.m.) LONDON, June 13.
