PACIFIC PROBLEMS.
For the purpose of stimulating the study of Pacific problems, the Auckland University College has arranged a series of free public lectures dealing comprehensively with the Pacific and its affairs. The lectures will bo delivered in the College Hall on Tuesday evenings throughout the winter term. The series will commence to-night with a lecture by Dr. J. C. Boaglehole, M.A., Ph.D., entitled, " The Opening of the Pacific." The lecturer will deal comprehensively with the early voyages of the Spaniards and the Portuguese and the other pioneer navigators, who sailed into the unknown sea in search of the great southern continent.
