TROTTING TRACK.

INTERESTING TRIALS. CARNUI GOING WELL. RAYDUS DOES BEST TIME. Although the weather was ideal at Epsom this morning the clay track, on which all the work was registered, was holding, and consequently the times recorded were not fast. Rolfe Audubon and Worthy Cause were the first to go. They jumped off at the mile and a half, Worthy Cause leading all the way and beating Rolfc Audubon by a length, a margin he could easily have increased. The time was 3.42, the last mile and a quarter taking 3.4 ; and the last half-mile 1.12. Auto Machine was given steady work on the jogging track, and Marble Star was treated to several short sprints over a couple of furlongs. lie trotted one half in LIS. Nathaniel was doing better than Todd Bingcn at the end of a mile and a half in 3.42, the last half in 1.14. Master Huia, unhopplcd, worked a mile and a quarter in 3.2 2-5, coming home his last half in 1.11. He gave a good exhibition of free-legged pacing. Moko Girl and Carl Mack worked a mile and a half in 4.0. They went very slow all the way, and Carl Mack went to a break in the final two furlongs. Moko Girl finished m front, but she did not trot so boldly as on Saturday. Travis and Oliver Thorpe worked a mile and a quarter in 2.59 3-5, Travis going easily alongside his companion at the end. The last half took 1.11 3-5. Gold Seam, Nellota, and La Triumph were companions over a mile and a half. Gold Scam led throughout, and at the finish had half a length the best of Nellota, with Triumph a couple of lengths away. The time for the mile and a half was 3.43 4-5, the last half taking 1.8 4-5. Both Gold Seam and Nellota finished well, but La Triumph, who pulled hard over the first mile, was a little disappointing. Mazda worked alone, pacing a mile and a quarter in 3.10, the last half in 1.13. Kewpie's Triumph went about two miles on the cinders, being timed to pace his last half-mile in 1.7. Manna's Son was given easy exercise. Explosion and Dad's Hope were jogged on the inside clay track. Star Pronto paced a half in 1.12. The Adams Cup candidates Real Girl, Peter Pirate and Carnui were associated in a mile and a half work-out, Carnui standing his companions up a couple of lengths start. The pace was not all on till the last quarter, when Carnui ran up to Real Girl and Peter Pirate, and held them easily at the end. Carnui's effort was very impressive. Raydus and Warspite jumped off together at the mile and a half peg, with Kewpie's Guy three seconds back. At the mile and a quarter Miss Joan Direct joined in. With a milo to go Warspite took the lead, and setting a solid pace he and Raydus drew away from Miss Joan Direct, while Kewpie's Guy was hopelessly tailed off. In the straight Raydus challenged Warspite, and in an all-out finish Raydus won by a neck. Miss Joan Direct was fifteen lengths away, and Kewpie's Guy further back. Raydus and Warspite paced the mile and a half in 3.32, the last half in 1.11. Clcao was given serviceable work, while Prince Etawah pottered about in the centre of the course. Parrish Belle did a lot of steady jogging. Little Guy worked without the hopples, but broke up badly.
