THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH'S VISIT.
I would point out that a recent paragraph on tree planting was incorrect when it stated there are only four survivors of the occasion of the Duke of Edinburgh's visit to the Girls Grammar School to plant the trees mentioned. My mother, Mrs. Mary Higginson, although only seven years old at the time, has distinct recollection of the tree-planting episode, and her brother, Mr. George Shrimpton, of Coremandel, was also present, although, being fifteen months younger, he may r.ot remember so distinctly as Mrs. Higginson. At that time they resided with their parents in Howe Street. M. C. THOMPSON 7 .
