MEAT FREEZING METHODS.
RESEARCH URGED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) GISBORXE, this day. The institution of a permanent research department by the Meat Board is urged by a committee of the Poverty Bay Shecpowners' Union. It is pointed out that Dr. W. A. Bowie's experiments have proved that further improvements can be made to the quality of frozen meat, and it is considered that this should be followed up by the board. Reference to l>. Bowie's experiments was made by the president, Air. C. H. Williams. He said Dr. Bowie had proved one thiiiß, and that was that the quality of meat could l>e improved. Technique and custom at the various freezing, w.orktj in Xcw Zealand differed widely.
