TWO BILLIARD ROOM'S RAIDED.

CHRISTCHUECH, Saturday.

Two billiard ealoons in the city were raided by detectives this morning, and later three men appeared before Mr. E. D. Mosley, S.M., charged with keeping common gaming-houses.

Arising out of the raid on the \rcadia Billiard Saloon, Arthur Wellesley Francis wae fined £50, and his son, Arthur James Franc-is, £60. John Ellis Woodhouse, proprietor of the Majestic Billiard Salooa, was fined £15. All three pleaded guilty.
