N.Z. PLAYERS IN SYDNEY. SILK ANI> HORNABROOK SHINE KIRK-WJNDEYER CUP TO-MORROW. SYDNEY, June 12. Nearly all the leading amateur golfers competed in the New SouMi Wales foursome championship at Rose Bay yesterday and to-day. Added interest was given to the play by the presence of the New Zealand and Queensland Kirk-Windeyer Cup teams.

The championship was played over 36 lioles, S2 players taking part. Two Manly pairs, H. W. Hattersley and D. M. Garland and E. L. Apperly and W. C. Sturrock, tied for first place yesterday with aggregate scores of 150. The play-off to-day was won by Hattersley and Garland, 79, wlio defeated Apperly and Sturrock, 80. The best form among the New Zealiinders yesterday was shown by Hornainook and Silk, who greatly impressed the gallery. A large gathering attended the tea held subsequently in the clubhouse, when opportunity was taken by the committee to offer a statement covering the affairs of the club. It was reported that despite prevailing conditions and a rebate in the subscription, the finances were in a satisfactory condition.
