RESOLUTION PASSED.
OVERTURE FOR NEW AGREEMENT.
" NO QUALIFICATIONS WHATEVER
Except that a meeting of the Northern Miners' Council was held this morning at Huntly, there are no developments to record in connection with the strike of ccal miners in the Waikato. The meeting this morning was held in a theatre and was largely attended. After the meeting Mr. W. Davison stated that the following resolution hail been carried: "That direction goes from this council to Mr. McLagan, secretary of the United Mine Workers at Brunnerton, asking him to place before Mr. T. O. Bishop, secretary of the Cnal Owners' Association, the advice that the Northern Miners' Union are prepared to meet them on a new agreement without any qualification whatever from either side." It was also decided that the above resolution should be sent to the Government.
