OPERATIONS IN MAY. SECOND DIVIDEND DECLAUED. The following is the report for the month of Slay:—No. 3 North McVicar Block: This drive is now out 284 ft from crosscut, making the total length driven on this block 252 ft. The face looks ver; promising at this point, there being a body of solid oro Gft wide in the face nnd about the same width going strong underfoot. Values for period 151/ over a widtli of 04 inches. New No. 4 North: Position of face now 305 ft from surface, the crosscut now appears to be passing through a fault line with a slight dip to the eastward and currying small boulders of stone which compare favourably with the stone in the level above. Should this be a fault it is possible as driving proceeds to cut the displaced downward portion of the lode before the line of fault reaches the bottom of the crosscut. A considerable amount of water is making, which hinders operations In this part of the mine Bull Tram Drive: Only a small amount of work has been carried on here for tho period, the men being required at other faces. Stoping was carried on as usual, tho tonnage produced coming from tho North Drive, the north stoping faces and the stopes on the extreme south end of the block. All faces look well, the faces maintaining a size of from 3ft to 10ft. The battery crushed 513 tons for a return of 6570 ii 2dwt, and during the same period the cyanide plnnt treated 307 tons of sands for 1470z 2dwt of bullion. The total estimated value of this return is £3164 (exclusive of premium on sale of gold and premium on exchange). A dividend (tho second) of 1/ per share ■on all the shares in the company (representing a distribution to shareholders of £3750) haa been declared payable on June IC, 1932. MAHAKIPAWA.
