HOSPITAL PATIENTS.
IMPROVEMENT IN TWO CASES,
The condition of Mr. Charles Scott, a Clevedon, farmer, who was knocked down yesterday morning about one o'clock by a motor cycle when he was returning along Ness Valley Road, Clevedon, from a dance, was stated to-day to be still serious. The rider of the motor cycle, Mr. Onslow Ward, of Clevedon, was flung from his machine when the accident occurred, but received no injuries beyond a few nasty cuts and abrasions. Mr. Scott suffered severe concussion.
There was a slight improvement, in the condition of the' six-year-old boy, Neville Harbutt, of Mariri Road, Onehunga, at the Auckland Hospital to-day. He was knocked down by a motor car on Thursday, and his skull was fracturad. An improvement was reported in the condition of Mrs. Edith Whitehead, aged 00, of Thames, who was found with one leg broken in Grafton Gully after an all-night exposure in wet weather. She is still unable to state the circumstances which led to her being in the gully, and how she came to break her leg.
