BRAVERY OF PILOT.
Four Passengers Rescued From
Blazing 'Plane.
MISHAP IN NEW SOUTH WALES

SYDNEY, this day.
An aeroplane piloted by Mr. F. Ashley, and carrying four passengers, made a forced landing in the fog near Narromine and burst into flames. Mr. Ashley, although slightly injured, Avith-great presence of mind, dragged all the passengers to safety unharmed.
Three minutes later the machine was a smouldering mass.
The 'plane had been enveloped in fog for several hours, and Mr. Ashley eventually tried to make a forced landing as his petrol was nearly exhausted. He - crashed in a wheat field and was stunned and bleeding from wounds to his head and arms.
He, however, dragged himself from his seat and succeeded in rescuing the passengers, including two ladies, before the flames reached the part of the cabin in which they were trapped.
