AUCKLAND CLUB. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The sixty-third annual general meeting of the Auckland Bowing Club was held in the Auckland Kugby Union's rooms last night. Mr. Geo. K. Hogan, president, presided over an attendance of -10 members, who evinced a very keen interest In the business. The report and balance-sheet, as already published in the "Star," were adopted. Mr. Hogan congratulated the members \ipon the splendid performances recorded last season, and felt sure that they would loyally support their officers and display that spirit of eo-operation so essential to the welfare of the sport. The live notices of motion dealing with the club rules were carried. After a lengthy discussion the membership subscription was reduced as follows: —over 20 years of age, from £o to £ 2 10/ ; and under 20, from f2 10/ to £2 2/ ; the association's levy to be included in both. A letter was received from Mr. W. J. Hampton-Keynolds, who has been transferred to Curistcburcli, tendering bis resignation as a vice-president. On the motion of the president the following resolution was unanimously carried :—"That it be placed on record the valuable assistance rendered to the club and the keen interest always taken in their welfare by Mr. Hampton-Reynolds, and that the club refuse to accept his resignation." The members, strongly approved of the letter sent to him by the secretary on their behalf.

In appreciation of the services rendered the club, Mr. It. K. Stacey was elected a life member. On behulf of the junior four, Mr. Hogau presented Don Stewart, their coxswain in mo many winning races,'-with a club cap. It was also placed on record the valuable assistance rendered the club by Mr. S. Scott. The election of officers resulted;— President: Mr. Geo. B. Hogan ; commodore, Mr., H. Schmidt; vice-commodore, Mr. W. S.. Pratt; vice-fce-Tsldents, the same as,last year, with the addition, of Commander Burses-Watson, General Sir George Richardson, Me. M. O. Stewart. A ballot for the executive officers resulted: —Captain, Mr. G. D. U. Plummer ; deputy captain, Mr. A. Bridle; hon. secretary, Mr. C. a.
