AKARANA GOLF CLUB

Tho floor at Dixieland was thronged with dancers last evening when the members of tho Akarana Golf Club held their annual ball. Tho function was a suocceeful one in every way, and tho cabaret looked very attractive with its festive decorations. Palms and pot plants made a bower of greenery at the entrance and were also to be seen around tho dance floor, while a touch of vivid colour was supplied by bowls of golden and yellow Iceland poppies which were sot on tho tables in the cubicles. Excellent music was provided, the orchestra receiving many encores. Among those present were: Mrs. D.
