EUCHARISTIC PILGRIMS. (Received 11.30 a.m.) POME, June 8. His Holiness the Pope received, in audience 70 Eucharistic pilgrims from New Zealand. He complimented them <m making the long journey despite the depression.
GEOLOGICAL FAULTS?
EARTH TREMORS IN N.S.W. (Received 9.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Narromine has experienced another etrong earth tremor. Mr. J. Nangle, Government astronomer, said that the ehocks were probably due to geological faults. "We have never had a serious shake in Australia and we never will have one," he said.
WORLD CONFERENCE
SIR T. WILFORD AT GENEVA. (Received 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, June 8. The New Zealand High Commissioner in London, Sir Thomas Wilford, has left for Geneva. He will later proceed to Lausanne for the World Economic Conference on June 10.
