TEN-ACRE FARMS.
FIRST COTTAGE ON THE WAY. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DARGAVILLE, Wednesday. Tho first of the cottages for tho tenaero smallholders scheme is due to arrivo from the Railway Department's shops at Frankton this week. The Department is supplying four-roomed cottages for £130 and three-roomed for £110 in trucks at Frankton. Already fivo aro on order for this district. One (tho first) will be erected on the farm of Mr. J. H. Clayton, Waihue, two will bo erected at Aoroa, and two in the Okoliu riding. The supervisor (Mr. A. W. Christie) states that ho has a number of sections under offer in every riding in the county. At Wliatoro settlers have, in addition, guaranteed work for the smallholder practically the whole year round.
