BOMBAY DEVIATION.
OPENING NEXT WEEK. SURFACING COMPLETED. Provided wot weather docs not interrupt work, the Bombay deviation will be opened at the end of next week. Tho A.A.A. has received advice that the surfacing has been completed and that the workmen are altering tho level of the Great South Road where the deviation crosses it near Pokeno. This work is expected to be finished by Wednesday, when tho contract expires. The Main Highways Board has advised the A.A.A. that the hedges that obscure visibility at the intersection of the deviation and the Bombay-Pukckohe road will be cut back.
