Mr. James Fletcher, of Auckland, is visiting Dunedin. Mr. Ai McLean, of Johannesburg, after touring New Zealand, left for Sydney by the Zealandia this morning. The Hon. C. E. Macmillan, Minister of Mines, who is touring the West Coast, is in Greymouth to-day. Mr. Benno Moiseiwitsch, pianist, arrived in Auckland by this morning's Limited express, and is staying at Hotel Cargen. Sir Charles Statham, Speaker of the House of Representatives, left Auckland for Wellington by last night's Limited express. Dr. W. Ewart, of Wellington, left for London by the Herminius yesterday morning. Mr. J. H. Strang, of New Plymouth, will leave Auckland for London by the Mataroa to-morrow. Mr. W. G. Wohlmann, Commissioner of Police, arrived from Wellington this morning. Lieut.-Colonel H. H. Colan will leave Auckland for London by the Mataroa to-morrow. Mr. W. Jolly, of the Sydney office of the Huddart Parker Company, who has been touring New Zealand, left for Australia by the Zealandia this morning. Mr. Robert Caahman, senior inspector of weights and measures, retired from the service of the Labour Department to-day, having reached the age limit of 65 years. The Hon. A. Hamilton, PostmasterGeneral, has left Wellington for a tour of the Gisborne district, which will occupy about a week. i Mr. J. W. Matthewson, general traffic manager for the Union Steam Ship Company, has left on a holiday trip to Sydney. Mr. R. A. Wilson, chief clerk of the New Zealand Insurance Company's Christchurch branch, has been transferred to Invercargill as manager. Mr. C. A. Woolley, superintendent of the Mount Roskill Fire Brigade, will take up his new duties as superintendent in Wellington at the beginning of next month. Mr. N. S. Falla, New Zealand manager of the Federal Steam Navigation Company, has been appointed Consul for Japan in succession to Mr. Arthur Young. Captain Hewitt and Messrs. Coy and Strong, members of the Union Steam Ship Company's staff, were passengers to Wellington by yesterday's afternoon express. The Rev. Jasper Calder left by last night's Limited express en route to attend the seventy-fifth anniversarv celebrations of Holy Trinity Church Avonside Christchurch. On his way backMr. Calder will attend conferences of social workers in Wellington.
