NEW VICAR.
WELCOME AT ST. MARK'S
* A welcome was given to the Rev. P. Houghton, the new vicar of St. Mark's Anglican Church, liemuera, on Wednesday by a. large number of parishioners. Mr. F. M. Hills, people's warden, presided.
A tribute to Mr. Houghton's work in Wellington was paid by Archbishop Averill, who extended a welcome on behalf of the diocese. The archbishop said ho had followed Mr. Houghton's career with much interest.
Items were given by Mrs. W. F. Hill and Messrs. H. Maddocks and F. A. Smith.
