TAKAPUNA THEFT.
TWO YOUNG MEW AKBESTEI>. OTHER CHARGES PENDING. Two young men, arrested in Takapuna yesterday afternoon by Constables Maloriey and Wood, appeared at the Police Court this morning. They were Frederick Heaslip (18), labourer, and Ernest Albert Vivian Skinner (23), farm hand. Both were charged with stealing a motor tyre, tube and jack valued at £1 10/, the property of Sydney Herbert Crowe, at Takapuna, on May 25. They pleaded guilty. Detective Sergeant Kelly said accused also stole ten loaves of bread from a, Takapuna bakery, and had broken into the Te Aroha bookstall, and another place at Waihi. These two further charges would be preferred later. Accused were remanded to appear on June 1 for sentence.
